Los Hibiscus is a first floor luxury two bedroomed, one bathroom apartment with a large balcony giving beautiful views of the sea and the magnificent surrounding mountains.  It has a large communal swimming pool.  Alcossebre has fantastic restaurants, shops and kerbside tapas bars, all within walking distance.  Las Fuentes and Alcossebre boast five Blue Flag beaches complete with volleyball nets, children's climbing frames and showers.

Inland and adjacent to Alcossebre, the Sierra d'Irta natural park, with the Castell de Xivert (Alcalà de Xivert Castle), protects the village from winter chills.  Development is strictly controlled.  There is no 'high-rise' building - houses and apartments are set along attractive palm-fringed promenades and small bays.   There are numerous attractions and theme parks in the surrounding area, such as Port Aventura which is a universal theme park, Benicassim has a fantastic Water World Park, Go Kart racing in Peniscola and inland can be found the ancient walled town of Morrella which has so much history.  There are two excellent golf courses at reasonable rates within a 30-minute drive from the town.

Alcossebre

Las Fuentes is situated in the Costa Azahar region of Spain and can be reached from the airports of Barcelona, Valencia and Reus.  The climate in this beautiful area of Spain compares with the Costa del Sol, which makes it an ideal year round destination for all age groups.

The Costa del Azahar is an area where there are still lots of beautiful unspoilt villages, all of which are not far from the sea.  This is Spain for the Spanish, and also for those of us who are fortunate to have seen the natural beauty and decided that this is what we want as a part of our lives, albeit as a holiday.

The following pictures show just a few examples of this beautiful part of Spain known as 'The Costa del Azahar' - The Orange Blossom Coast.

It stretches from Valencia to Peniscola and then on to Tarragonna, hugging the main coast road all the way.  The apartment is located just outside the beautiful town of Alcossebre and the Marina of Las Fuentes.

Close your eyes and imagine you are there: you will smell orange blossom in November and February plus the gentle waft of wood burning in the air.  The winter days are just idyllic.

Summers are hot and just right for holidays with lots of activities, such as swimming, sunbathing the occasional glass of Rjoja or Cava.  Paellas are a speciality here, served as either a fish or chicken dish. Valencian or Castellean, whichever you choose it, is just a piece of heaven.

Local Cuisine

The famous Valencian paella is prepared in many local restaurants with locally grown rice.  Zarzuela, a delicious fish dish is native to the region.  For meat lovers, lamb from the inland Maestrat region is a specialty in many restaurants.  The wines here in Spain are wonderful, relatively unknown in Britain, and inexpensive.

Arrangements for reservations to be made with owner. £60 non-refundable deposit per week required. Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Mid week booking and short stays are available. Prices include all linen, towels and cleaning between lets.
